Directions to Biggin's Bash?!
Here's our best try at giving directions to Biggins Bash in Happy Valley! Here goes.. to get there going thru Brookville, take Rt. 52 into Brookville which becomes Main St., Trun left on St. Mary's Rd.(Rt.101), go approx. 8 miles(just a guess), turn right on a road at the bottom of a hill(don't know the name and probably doesn't have a sign anyway) , if you get to the top of the hill and St. Mary's Church is on your left, turn around and go back to the bottom of the hill and turn left, go til this road dead end, turn left, and left again at the first road. Happy Valley is up on the left. whew!...
to get there from the Sunman exit coming from Cincy, turn right off the exit, the road "Y's", go left about 8 miles til road dead ends, turn right, go past St Mary's Church to bottom of the hill, turn left, road dead ends, turn left again, take first left and Happy Valley is on the left!! Easy as pie!!
If you don't make it to the Bash, you'll wish you had!! RR

More RR Sympathies
On this Fathers Day, the feeling is a little bittersweet. One of RR's greatest loyal fans, Julie, has recently lost her Father and we would like to send our sympathies to her. The Brown boys(John, Troy, Tony, and Jeremy along with bro Dennis) knows the hurt of losing our Father. So hang in there, Julie, cause if he was anything like you, you can rest assured where he is now. From all of Ridge Runner and our families, we'd like to send this song out to you as well as Pammy Sue, who recently lost her Mother, a Diamond Rio tune called "God Only Cries":
"On an icy road one night
A young man loses his life
They marked the shoulder with a cross
An' his family gathers round
On a piece of Hallowed ground
Their hearts are heavy with their loss
As the tears fall from their eyes
There's one who'll always sympathise.
God only cries for the living
'Cause it's the living that are left to carry on
An' all the angels up in Heaven
They're not grieving because they're gone
There's a smile on their faces
'Cause they're in a better place than, us, baby, than, us
God only cries for the living
'Cause it's the living that are so far from home.
It still makes me sad
When I think of my Grand-dad
I miss him each and every day
But I know the time will come
When my own gradnson
Wonders why I went away
Maybe we're not meant to understand
Till we meet up in the Promised Land.
God only cries for the living
'Cause it's the living that are left to carry on
And all the angels up in Heaven
They're not grieving because they're gone
There's a smile on their faces
'Cause they're in a better place than, us, baby, than us
God only cries for the living
'Cause it's the living that are so far from home
Yeah, we're so far from home, Mmmm, Mmmm"

Solo artist Eric Dove won first place at this years Colgate Country Showdown and deservedly so as you could've flipped a coin to choose any of the 6 contestants(one was disqualified for not showing up)! We were up against some stiff competition again this year which all the bands(Eldorado, Quartermile, and Brothers First) did an excellent job as well as the soloists! One of the soloists shirt was open showing her bellybutton! If I'd have known we were allowed to do that, we would've had Tony do it too! Good luck to Eric Dove as he moves on to the State competition! Thanx goes out to all of our RRfans who ventured down to give us support as it is deeply appreciated! You guys are the greatest!
